Nevada’s Cannabis Compliance Board adopted regulation R152-24 on June 18, 2026, and the Legislative Commission gave it final approval on September 24, 2026. Sections 62 to 74 revise the rules for cannabis independent testing laboratories: the standards and guidelines a lab must follow are adopted by reference, the quality program must include a written ethics policy, accreditation documents must reach the Board within three business days of receipt, the scientific director must be on premises ten workdays rather than five, and a lab must establish limits of detection for every pesticide it analyzes. The regulation takes effect once filed with the Secretary of State.

What it means for calibration

A limit of detection for every pesticide is a calibration question: the LOD has to be supported by standards near it, and an auditor will ask how the lowest level was established and when it was last verified. With the adopted standards now carrying the force of the regulation, the lab’s calibration acceptance criteria are no longer internal policy. Document the model choice and the low-end accuracy for each pesticide and keep the record with the batch.
